I'm back, and with A facelift too. Lately we have moved into our new house, I have had two birthdays, gone to Macworld 2008, two more MacCamps, had many trips and vacations, and joined a homeschool charter school.
Some details about the house; It was built in 1907, a craftsman house, a major fixer-upper, the good thing is that the last owners didn't do anything to the house, so its character and originality was preserved. The bad thing is, the previous owners didn't do anything to the house, and now it's just a mess. The downstairs bathroom was so bad that the you couldn't see the floor behind the toilet because of the dirt. There were maggots in the shower drain. They were using that shower. There was a tree growing on the side of the house, and the roots were slowly lifting the house up, and destroying the foundation. I mean, it was so dirty, you would put your hand on the wall, it would stick. Thankfully, most of that has been taken care of.
But, the neighborhood, on the other hand, is the most amazing one I have ever seen. there are eight other kids I know just on my street alone, and many adults that I have met in the area. I have never actually had a neighborhood where I hang out with people that live there.
I am traveling to Oregon again in April for a few weeks for MacCamp, and to see the rest of the family.
Portland is definitely my favorite city, I will probably live there sometime in the future. Although my favorite place overall is the family farm, where my great-aunt and great grandmother live.
That's all for now, i'll post soon.
